Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN authentication timeout value

How to check and change Globalprotect VPN authentication timeout value in Palo Alto Networks VPN?

The GlobalProtect authentication timeout is calculated as: set connection timeout – 5 seconds. The default timeout is 30 seconds, which in turn makes the default authentication timeout as 25 seconds. GlobalProtect default timeout cannot be seen using the below command unless it is modified or reset to the default value again:

#show deviceconfig setting global-protect

You can adjust the timeout value via CLI with command “set deviceconfig setting global-protect timeout “, it is not available in any GUI.

>configure
#show deviceconfig setting global-protect

#set deviceconfig setting global-protect timeout 60 // where 60 is a new value

#commit

Now you can notice that GlobalProtect timeout value is changed.

#show deviceconfig setting global-protect

global-protect {
timeout 60;
}
